šŸ’³ What Is a Chargeback, and Why Was Money Taken From My Account?

ā“ What Is a Chargeback?

A chargeback happens when a fan (or their bank) disputes a payment that was made using their card.
This can happen for a few reasonsā€”most commonly:

  • The card used was stolen or unauthorized

  • The fan contacted their bank to reverse the charge

When this happens, the money is pulled back from your balanceā€”even if you already received it.

āš ļø Why Did It Happen to Me?

Chargebacks are very rare, but if you notice money being removed from your account unexpectedly, itā€™s likely due to a chargeback.

This is not controlled by Fanspicy. itā€™s part of Mastercard and Visaā€™s global policy.
Once a bank processes a chargeback, the website must follow their rules.

šŸ§¾ How to See My Chargebacks

  1. Log in to your Fanspicy creator account

  2. Tap the Menu (ā˜°)

  3. Click on More

  4. Select the Payout section

  5. Go to the Chargebacks tab

There, youā€™ll see a list of:

  • Chargeback dates

  • Amounts removed

  • Any reference information related to the dispute

šŸ›”ļø What Is Fanspicy Doing About This?

Fanspicy fights chargebacks actively by:

  • Blocking fraudulent users

But unfortunately, some chargebacks still go through, and in those cases, there is nothing the website can do to stop the refund once itā€™s approved by the card provider.
